Markey Receives Grant to Develop Technologies Beneficial to Breast Cancer Survivors

The grant will fund Dr. Markey’s work toward developing 3D modeling technologies to help breast cancer survivors visualize potential reconstructive surgery options. This type of technology will give breast cancer survivors a better understanding of the probable changes to their appearance following breast reconstruction and enable them to make individualized decisions regarding their own particular recovery strategies.
