Jing Receives Graduate Continuing Fellowship
Zhifeng Jing, a graduate student working in Pengyu Ren’s lab, recently received a University Graduate Continuing Fellowship for 2019-2020.

Zhifeng “Francis” Jing, a graduate student working in Pengyu Ren’s lab, recently received a University Graduate Continuing Fellowship for 2019-2020.
Jing is a fourth-year graduate student. His research is focused on developing computational models to study proteins and nucleic acids. Applications of the models he is working on include the development of small-molecule and RNA therapeutics for cancer and diabetes.
The award carries of stipend of $30,000. Graduate Continuing Fellowships support current graduate students enrolled at UT Austin. They are competitive and require a nomination from the department.
