UT News | UT Austin and UT MD Anderson are uniting to create the next breakthroughs in cancer care and research.
“IG-RABIT,” one of five projects funded by the Collaborative Accelerator for Transformative Research Endeavors, involves developing a robotic device that helps surgeons perform incredibly complex procedures around the spine and pelvis. Guided by imaging and computational modeling, a modified robotic arm can insert biomechanical implants with extreme precision and less invasive trauma to surrounding tissues, tendons and bones.
