Anyaeji One of 16 Selected for NIH Academy
Apr 6, 2011
The academy limits size to a class of just 16 members each year. Chinedu, who will graduate in May, will spend one to two years working side-by-side with NIH investigators in an environment devoted exclusively to biomedical research. He will receive a stipend and conduct research in Bethesda, Maryland.
His long-term plans include attending medical school and tackling discrepancies in diseases that exist not only at the domestic level but also on a global scale. These goals are in part motivated by Chinedu’s time growing up in Nigeria.
