Short-term Summer Programs

The May Term is a 4-week term between the spring and summer; the courses are offered in the spring course schedule and tuition is charged as a part of spring flat-rate tuition. This allows students to study abroad with a UT Austin professor, take a UT Austin course that counts toward their degree, and return in time for second term summer session.

May Term Abroad BME 377T Topic: Micro and Nanotechnologies in Barcelona, Spain, is offered by Associate Professor Tim Yeh. This course topic satisfies three engineering technical elective hour requirements toward all four technical areas/tracks within BME.

Many more faculty-led short-term programs are available to all BME students.

Semester Exchange

BME students have the opportunity to also study at exchange partner institutions across the world. Most BME students who take advantage of this opportunity can do so in the fall of their sophomore or junior years.
