ABSTRACT:
My research addresses the challenges of precise manipulation and comprehensive imaging of neural populations through the development and application of optoacoustic neuromodulation and hemogenetic functional imaging strategies. This talk will cover optoacoustic neuromodulation, which leverages laser-to-acoustic conversion for minimally invasive control of neural activity, and hemogenetic functional imaging, combining hemodynamic imaging with genetic tools for targeted brain activity mapping. Together, these technologies form a comprehensive framework for precise modulation and targeted imaging of neural populations, advancing neuroscience research and enabling novel therapeutic strategies for neurological disorders.
