George Georgiou is the 2005 recipient of the Food, Pharmaceutical & Bioengineering Division Award in Chemical Engineering. This award, bestowed by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), recognizes his seminal contributions to protein engineering and applied microbial physiology leading to the development of numerous industrially useful technologies.

The Award will be given at the Annual AIChE Meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio, this November. The sponsor of the award is E. I. DuPont de Nemours and Company.
