Professor Nicholas Peppas has been elected to the 2011 class of the Fellows of the American Chemical Society (ACS) This is the third class of ACS Fellows, and it represents about 125 leading researchers in the chemical sciences.
Professor Nicholas Peppas has been elected to the 2011 class of the Fellows of the American Chemical Society (ACS) This is the third class of ACS Fellows, and it represents about 125 leading researchers in the chemical sciences.
The ACS Fellows Program was created in 2008 to recognize members of ACS for outstanding achievements in and contributions to science, the profession, and society. Peppas, is the fourth professor from The University of Texas at Austin to be selected to the fellows after Professors Allan Bard, Grant Willson, and Don Paul. Peppas teaches in the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Pharmacy.
The 2011 class will be inducted at a ceremony at the ACS National Meeting in Denver, Colorado, on August, 29, 2011.
