Priyaveena Puvanakrishan, a doctoral student in Professor James Tunnell’s lab, has won a BMES 2011 Graduate Student Award (Extended Abstract) for her paper titled Near-Infrared Narrow Band Imaging of Targeted Gold Nanorods in EGFR Over-Expressing Squamous Cell Carcinomas.

Priyaveena Puvanakrishan, a doctoral student in Professor James Tunnell’s lab, has won a BMES 2011 Graduate Student Award (Extended Abstract) for her paper titled Near-Infrared Narrow Band Imaging of Targeted Gold Nanorods in EGFR Over-Expressing Squamous Cell Carcinomas.
Puvanakrishnan is one of five other graduate students to be selected based on scientific merit, originality, and quality of her written presentation. She will be presented with an award at the BMES Annual Business Meeting in Harford, Connecticut, this October 12–15, and will receive complimentary registration to the conference as well as a $500 stipend for travel expenses.
