The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) has recognized Prinda Wanakule, a doctoral student in Professor Krish Roy’s lab, as an Outstanding Collegiate Member, which is the highest honor for students. She will receive an award during SWE’s 2011 annual conference in Chicago, Illinois and will have a biography printed in SWE Magazine.

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) has recognized Prinda Wanakule, a doctoral student in Professor Krish Roy’s lab, as an Outstanding Collegiate Member, which is the highest honor for students. She will receive an award during SWE’s 2011 annual conference in Chicago, Illinois and will have a biography printed in SWE Magazine.
Wanakule has been an active SWE member since she was an undergraduate student at the University of Florida in 2004. She has served in a number of leadership roles within the organization, including as the Graduate School Program Track Chair for this year’s annual conference, where she organized a program of 14 different sessions for current and future graduate students. Wanakule has also been selected to serve as SWE’s Graduate Member Coordinator. In this role, she will work to enrich the graduate school experience for SWE members worldwide.
SWE is a not-for-profit educational and service organization founded in 1950 that empowers women to succeed and advance in the field of engineering and to be recognized for their life-changing contributions as engineers and leaders.
