Dan Puperi

Assistant Professor of Instruction

Department Research Area:
Lecturers

Dan Puperi, Ph.D. is an assistant professor of instruction in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He received a Bchelor's of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University and then worked at NASA Johnson Space Center for 15 years before pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Rice University.

In 2016, Puperi graduated from Rice and began teaching four design/laboratory courses required for all undergraduate biomedical engineering students at UT Austin. Puperi embraces his role caring for and serving the biomedical engineering undergraduate student community in their growth and journey through college toward a professional career and therefore has no interest in pursuing biomedical research.

However, Puperi is interested in teaching and learning scholarship and embraces evidence-backed strategies to help his students learn more effectively.
